Bhubaneswar, May 7: India launched Operation Sindoor in response to the Pahalgam terror attack, targeting nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The strikes were precise and focused, avoiding civilian areas and Pakistani military facilities.

The operation was carried out within 25 minutes, with missile strikes hitting key terror hubs such as Muridke, Kotli, Muzaffarabad, and Bahawalpur. These locations were known for harboring terrorist groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).

Indian officials, including Wing Commander Vyomika Singh and Colonel Sophia Qureshi, confirmed that the strikes were based on verified intelligence and aimed at eliminating terror infrastructure. The JeM camp in Bahawalpur, where 26/11 attackers Ajmal Kasab and David Headley were trained, was among the destroyed sites.

Following the strikes, Pakistan's media reacted emotionally, with some anchors reportedly breaking down while reporting the news. Meanwhile, China has urged both India and Pakistan to exercise restraint, emphasizing the need for regional stability.

India clarified that the operation was not an attack on Pakistan’s military, but a targeted response to terrorism. The government stated that no Pakistani military facilities were hit, reinforcing its non-escalatory approach.
