Bhubaneswar, Oct 6: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is scheduled to visit Nuapada on Monday, where he will attend a public meeting at the Nuapada Mini Stadium.

The district administration has completed all preparations for the high-profile visit, including a robust three-tier security arrangement.

The visit comes ahead of the upcoming by-election in Nuapada, following the demise of sitting MLA Rajendra Dholakia on September 8. With the seat now vacant, political activity in the region has intensified, and the Chief Minister’s visit is seen as a strategic move to connect with the electorate.

Expectations are high among locals, as CM Majhi is likely to announce a major development package focusing on roads, healthcare, drinking water, and education. Panchayati Raj Minister Rabi Narayan Naik has already reviewed the arrangements in Nuapada, while CM’s advisor Prakash Mishra also visited the district to assess the situation.

The visit is part of a series of ministerial engagements in Nuapada, with recent tours by Ministers Krushna Chandra Mahapatra, Rabi Narayan Naik, Nityananda Gond, and Mukesh Mahaling. These visits underline the growing political momentum in the region ahead of the bypoll.
