Nabarangpur, Dec 16: In a tragic mishap, an elderly man and his son-in-law died as their motorbike rammed into a truck near the post office at Raighar in Nabarangpur district this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Lakhaman of Bhimatikira and Bali of Marangapalli village. 

The duo was going to attend 10th day death ritual of a relative when this mishap took place.

According to reports, the biker was trying to overtake the truck when he couldn't see the road due to poor visibility caused by fog and came down under the wheels of the truck while overtaking the vehicle. 

In the mishap, the man's son-in-law died on spot as he had a severe injury on his head.

Following the accident, the man was rushed to the the local hospital where doctors declared him dead.
