Bhubaneswar, Jan 6: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi turned 53 on Monday, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the top BJP leaders extending birthday wishes and praising his governance.

Majhi, a four-time MLA from Keonjhar, is the first BJP Chief Minister in Odisha.

In a post on X, Prime Minister Modi extended his heartfelt wishes to CM Majhi and appreciated him for his "forefront of public service and empowering the poor".

“Greetings to the hardworking Chief Minister of Odisha, Shri Mohan Charan Majhi on his birthday. A grassroots leader, he has been at the forefront of public service and empowering the poor. He is making noteworthy efforts for Odisha’s progress. Praying for his long and healthy life,” PM Modi said on X.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also extended birthday greetings to CM Majhi, wishing him "good health and long life".

“Heartiest birthday wishes to Odisha Chief Minister @MohanMOdisha ji. Under the leadership of Modi ji, you are giving new direction and speed to public welfare and development in Odisha. I pray to Mahaprabhu for your good health and long life.” the Union Home Minister said in a post on X.

Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati also wished CM Majhi on his birthday, wishing him "a year ahead filled with progress and prosperity".

"Warm birthday wishes to Hon’ble Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi ji. May you be blessed with good health, happiness, and continued success in serving the people. Wishing you a year ahead filled with progress and prosperity," the Governor posted on X.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also wished CM Majhi on his birthday.

“Happy birthday to the Chief Minister of Odisha @MohanMOdisha. May the welfare and development work in Odisha be further accelerated under his leadership. I wish him a long and peaceful life with the blessings of the Almighty,” Pradhan posted on X.

Odisha BJP president Manmohan Samal extended birthday wishes to CM Majhi, wishing him "good health and long life".

“Warm greetings and heartfelt congratulations to the esteemed Chief Minister of our state, @MohanMOdisha on his auspicious birthday. Your public welfare governance system in the service of the people will remain unique in Odisha. I pray to Lord Shri Jagannath for your good health and long life,” Samal said in a post on X.
