Bhubaneswar/New Delhi, Aug 16: Eminent Odia journalist Sangram Keshari Sarangi has been selected for the prestigious Odisha Journalism Award 2025. The award will be conferred by the renowned Delhi-based organization, Pallibani Mission, during a ceremony at the India International Centre in the national capital on September 6.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan is scheduled to grace the award ceremony as the Chief Guest, while Yoga guru Swami Ramdev and Group Editor of The New Indian Express Santwana Bhattacharya will attend the event as special guest and keynote speakers respectively, informed Pallibani Mission President Ramachandra Nath on Saturday.

As Editor of the Argus Digital, Sarangi has consistently pushed the boundaries of regional journalism, blending traditional reporting with modern storytelling formats.

Sarangi, known for his incisive reporting and popular podcast series Argus Podcast, has emerged as a leading voice in Odia journalism. His show has become one of the most listened-to digital programs in the state, earning him widespread acclaim.

The Odisha Journalism Award, now in its eighth edition, recognizes excellence in regional media. Alongside Sarangi, two other distinguished journalists from Odisha—Satya Sundar Barik of The Hindu and Ratnakar Bhoi of Sambad Sambalpur—will also be honored.

The national-level Indian Journalism Award will be presented to three eminent journalists: Sanjeev Paliwal (Executive Editor, Aaj Tak), Pratap Sombanshi (Managing Editor, Dainik Hindustan), and Saurabh Dwivedi (Founder Editor, Lallantop).

This recognition marks a milestone in Sangram Sarangi’s career, reinforcing his role in shaping the future of Odia media and inspiring a new generation of journalists.
