Sambalpur, July 10: Two minor sisters went missing from Burla in Odisha’s Sambalpur district, following which their parents lodged a complaint, police said on Thursday.

The complaint was lodged with the Burla police station after the girls failed to return home on Wednesday morning.

According to CCTV footage retrieved from Gopabandhu Square in Burla area, the sisters were last seen walking together toward the local market area around 10:30 AM yesterday.

Their identity has not been disclosed, but police sources confirm that both are minors and siblings.

The Burla Police have launched a full-scale investigation, reviewing surveillance footage and speaking with local residents and shopkeepers. Despite efforts, no concrete leads have surfaced regarding the girls’ whereabouts as of Thursday evening.

Family members have expressed deep concern and urged the public to come forward with any information that could assist in locating the missing girls.

This incident has sparked anxiety in the local community, prompting calls for enhanced safety measures and quicker response protocols for missing children.
