Bhubaneswar, Mar 10: President Droupadi Murmu, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani hailed the triumph of Team India in the final of the ICC Champions Trophy.

The Men in Blue led by Rohit Sharma defeated New Zealand by 4 wickets in the final at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium to claim a record third CT title. This was the seventh ICC title for India after World Cup triumphs in 1983 and 2011, Champions Trophy wins in 2002 and 2013, and the T20 World Cup victories in 2007 and 2024.

"Heartiest congratulations to Team India for winning the ICC Champions Trophy, 2025. India becomes the only team to win the Trophy thrice. The players, the management and the support staff deserve highest accolades for creating cricketing history. I wish Indian cricket a very bright future," President Murmu wrote in a post on X.

CM Majhi hailed the Men in Blue for making the nation proud. “Heartiest congratulations to Team India on their spectacular victory in the Champions Trophy 2025 final. A commanding performance against New Zealand, reflecting sheer skill, determination and sportsmanship. The entire nation is proud of this glorious achievement,” the Odisha Chief Minister wrote in a post on X.

Union Education Minister Pradhan praised Rohit & Co’s performance in the tournament saying it’s a “fitting culmination to an outstanding campaign”. In a post on X, the Union Minister wrote: “The cup is fantastic! A fitting culmination to an outstanding campaign, a cherished victory that brings immense pride to all Indians and fans of the #IndianCricketTeam. Deserved winners of the #ChampionsTrophy.”

The Chairman of the Adani Group, Gautam Adani, was all praise for Team India. “Dominant. Relentless. Brilliant. Triumphant. India Zeals the Deal!” wrote Adani in a post on his X handle.
