But behind that smile was a life far removed from the carefree image the world adored. The laugh of the boy Arun Kumar - may have entertained the internet, but his reality was shaped by poverty and sacrifice.

Arun’s story is one of resilience and hope. Behind the viral laughter was a childhood marked by hardship. Poverty forced him to drop out of school at just 10 years old, while he was in Class 4. Poverty left Arun with no choice but to work, and, around that time, Nehru hired him as a truck cleaner. The young boy travelled long routes along with his employer, just to earn.
