Cuttack, July 15: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Tuesday attended the 13th convocation ceremony of Ravenshaw University in Cuttack, and encouraged Odisha’s youth to embrace entrepreneurship and become job creators, not just job seekers.

Speaking on the occasion, Pradhan extended heartfelt congratulations to all the students who received the honorary degrees and PhDs from President Droupadi Murmu, calling it a moment of great honour and inspiration.
The Minister also expressed gratitude to the President for her motivational guidance to the graduating students, describing her presence as deeply meaningful for the youth of Odisha.
Pradhan praised Ravenshaw University for its historic contributions to education, identity formation, and social reform. He reflected on the institution’s legacy as a platform for linguistic pride and nationalist thought, reminding attendees that the university has long been a cradle of innovation and intellectual leadership.

Pradhan also highlighted the integration of technologies like Artificial Intelligence into the academic ecosystem, asserting that Ravenshaw University will play a vital role in shaping a vibrant, knowledge-driven society aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India.
President Droupadi Murmu graced the convocation ceremony as the chief guest. Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Higher Education and Youth Affairs Minister Suryabanshi Suraj and other dignitaries attended the event.
