Bhubaneswar, Oct 4: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on Saturday lauded the launch of the Pradhan Mantri Skilling and Employability Transformation through Upgraded ITIs (PM-SETU) scheme worth Rs 60,000 crore, calling it a transformative initiative that will modernize Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) across India.

In a post on X, CM Majhi expressed deep gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for spearheading this landmark effort aimed at empowering youth through skill development and industry-aligned education.

The PM-SETU scheme is designed to integrate ITIs with advanced trades, cutting-edge infrastructure, and global industry standards. According to Majhi, this move will equip students with future-ready skills, enhance employability, and strengthen the connection between knowledge, entrepreneurship, and national development.
CM Majhi emphasized that the initiative will ensure Odisha’s youth are well-prepared to meet evolving global demands and excel on international platforms. “India’s ITIs are not only premier institutions for industrial education but also serve as workshops for building an Aatmanirbhar Bharat,” he quoted PM Modi.
