UPSC: Jain Brothers Clinch Same Rank 16 In Their Respective Attempts

Bhubaneswar, Apr 17: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Tuesday released the list of its 1,016 selected candidates in its Civil Services Examinations.

Many say they followed the footsteps of their parents or siblings. However, such coincidence of securing the same rank years after his elder brother bagged the rank is nothing less than a miracle.

The sons of retired IPS officer Mukesh Jain took inspiration from him and decided to serve the nation. However both the IIT- Delhi graduates wanted to join the IAS.

Repeating his attempt for the third attempt, Ayan Jain was able to secure AIR-16 coinciding with his elder brother, Arth Jain bagging the same rank in UPSC 2020. He was an IPS trainee at Hyderabad now after securing AIR-87 in UPSC 2022.

Surprising the family, Ayan was able to make his name to the most prestigious merit list in the entire country.

Choosing Mathematics as his optional subject, Ayan was able to clinch the rank in his third attempt. In his first attempt he was unable to clear Mains. He secured rank 87 in his subsequent attempt landing him in Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA) as he chose IPS.

While undergoing the training phase he managed to attempt the coveted exam for the third time and shone with bright colours repeating history and securing AIR 16 like his elder brother.
