Sambalpur, Jan 21: Union Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who is on a three-day visit to Sambalpur and Dhenkanal, on Sunday said 11th standard students of higher secondary schools will appear for Board tests from the next academic session.

They will also appear for the 12th Board examination and choose marks for one of two Board tests to be awarded to them. The two Board board examination systems will be implemented as per the New National Education Police 2020, he said.   

On the day, the Union Minister visited the Samaleswari Temple and paid his obeisance to the goddess. There, he also participated in the cleaning work undertaken on the sideline of the consecration of Ram Temple at Ayodhya. 

Thereafter, Pradhan visited the Shree Radhaballabh Temple newly built at Kshetrarajpur. He joined the consecration event and offered puja there. 

Later, he graced the 'Kaushal Mahotsav' held at Dhankauda ground here. 

The Union Minister was scheduled to grace the book fair event at PHD Ground at Ainthapali in the city.
