New Delhi, June 13: The Government of India on Thursday reappointed former IAS officer Dr Pramod Kumar Mishra as the Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Dr PK Mishra, IAS (Retired) as Principal Secretary to Prime Minister with effect from 10.06.2024. His appointment will be co-terminus with the term of the Prime Minister or until further orders whichever is earlier," the Government of India stated in a letter.
Hailing from Odisha, Dr PK Mishra, a 1972 batch IAS officer, retired as the Agriculture Secretary to the Government Of India.

✨Dr Mishra has been working closely with Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the last ten years. Since his retirement, Mishra has been a key member of the Prime Minister's team.
Dr Mishra has varied work experience in the management of programmes relating to agriculture, disaster management, power sector, infrastructure financing, and regulatory issues and has an outstanding career profile comprising research, publications, policy formulation and programme/project management.
