Bhubaneswar, Jan 29: The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Monday issued a notice for holding elections to three Rajya Sabha seats to be vacated on the completion of the terms of two BJD MPs Amar Patnaik and Prasant Nanda and one BJP MP Ashwini Vaishnaw on February 27.
According to the primary notice, formal election notification will be issued on February 8. The last date of nomination for the three RS seats is February 15. The valid candidates' list will be published after scrutiny on February 16. The last date of withdrawal is February 20.
Voting will be conducted on February 27. The counting of votes and declaration of the results will be done in the afternoon hours of the same day. The entire election process will be completed by February 29.

The ECI said elections to a total of 56 RS Member seats, including three from Odisha, will be held as per the above schedule.
