A video depicting four youth hanging out of the sunroof and windows of a moving car in Bengaluru gained widespread attention on social media, eventually leading to their arrest.
In the video, recorded by individuals in the vehicle trailing behind, concerns were voiced about the perilous nature of the boys’ actions, emphasising the potential legal consequences they might face. The incident reportedly occurred on NH 7, also known as Airport Road.

The video showcased a bustling thoroughfare with numerous vehicles in motion. Amidst the traffic, a Honda City sedan equipped with an electric sunroof was observed. Contrary to expectations, not just one but two individuals managed to stand outside the sunroof, defying the limited space available.

Another person occupied the right-side rear window, sitting on the rear window frame, enthusiastically interacting with his companions. Additionally, a fourth person attempted to emerge from the rear left window but seemingly struggled and retreated into the car.
After the video has gone viral, netizens have asked the cops to take action against them.
The accused face charges under Section 184 (dangerous driving) of the MV (The Motor Vehicles) Act, as well as Sections 279 (endangering human life through rash or negligent driving) and 283 (creating danger or obstruction in a public way) of the IPC. However, the question of their potential influence by alcohol remains unconfirmed.
