Argus News - 30 Labourers Rescued From Odisha's Bolangir, 3 Brokers Arrested

Kantabanji, Nov 5:  At least 30 bonded labourers have been rescued from Bolangir Railway Station of Odisha on Sunday. The police have also detained three brokers in connection with this matter.

According to reports, there were 21 male members 9 female members and 4 minor children were rescued. 
After investigation, it was found that the brokers were from the Bealapada area and they were taking a group of labourers to Hyderabad. 

The bonded labourers who were carried were from the Patnagada, Deogaon and Belapada areas of the Bolangir district respectively.

A bolero carrying them was also seized by the police.

The locals spotted the labourers and immediately informed the police in the Bolangir station. On being informed police immediately reached the spot and rescued the workers.

The police rescued all the labourers and took them to the police station and made arrangements to send the rescued labourers to their respective homes.
