Paradip, Feb 6: In a tragic mishap, one person died on spot as a gas tanker ran over his bike near Paradip's zero point this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Prabhat Patra of Garajanga village in Kendrapara district.

According to reports, Prabhat was working in a private company as a plumber.

He was on his way to office while this mishap took place.

On being informed, A team Lock Police reached the spot and took Prabhat's body to Atharabanki Community Health Centre.

The Lock Police has seized the gas tanker.

"On the arrival of Prabhat's family members his body will be sent for post-mertem", said a police.
