Argus News - Actor Jyoti Ranjan Nayak’s Wife Simran Hospitalised With Burn Injuries

Bhubaneswar, Dec 30: Simran Maharana, wife of Odia actor Jyoti Ranjan Nayak, sustained burn injuries in a fire accident while performing puja at home.

According to preliminary reports, Simran's clothes caught fire while conducting puja ritual on Monday evening.


Following the incident, Simran was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar, where she is currently undergoing treatment.

Sources said she sustained burn injuries while recording a vlog at the time of the incident.

Doctors have placed her under observation, and further details about her condition are awaited.

Family members and well-wishers have gathered at the hospital as news of the accident spread.


Simran Maharana, born on August 6, she debuted in 2014 with the Tarang TV series Durga and later appeared in music videos and serials like Mo Sindurara Adhikara.


Simran married Jyoti in the year 2025. Their wedding was a traditional Odia celebration, attended by family, friends, and colleagues from the entertainment industry.
