Puri, Jan 15: DGP, Odisha Arun Sarangi along with other senior police officials reviewed security arrangements at different places in the pilgrimage town here today, ahead of the inauguration of the Puri Srimandir Parikrama project.
DGP Sarangi has inspected Helipad, Shree-Setu, Jagannath Ballabh Pilligrim centre, and Yanja Mandap where arrangements have been done for the special guests to sit and watch the yanja.
"On the Parikrama project inauguration day, 80 platoons of police, a four-tier security system along with the bomb squad will be deployed in Puri. On the same day, the security system will be tightened inside the temple as well," said Sarangi.

✨A special battalion of 1190 personnel will also be deployed in Puri in the coming days, said the DGP in his response to media questions.
