Angul, Nov 7: A married couple sustained critical burn injuries while cooking in their house in Changudia village under Kakudia Panchayat in Angul district on Tuesday.
The victims have been identified as Lutu Nayak and his wife Laxmi Nayak.
According to the information, Laxmi was cooking in her house when her clothes caught fire. Hearing her screams, Lutu rushed to extingush the fire. However, the couple sustained critical injuries from fire.
Soon, the locals rushed them to Chendipada hposptal for treatment. As their condition deteriorated, the couple was shifted to District Headquarters Hospital (DHH).
