The deceased villager has been identified as Guru Pradhan.
According to the informaiton, Guru had been undergoing treatment at the Sukinda Community Health Centre for a few days. He was being shifted to the Jajpur District Headquarters Hospital when he died. His family members have alleged that Guru died of hunger. A few days back, it was also alleged that Guru Pradha's 13-year-old son and four-year-old son had died of malnutrition.
It may be mentioned here that Nagada lost 13 of its children to malnutrition in 2016. It had then attracted the attention of the entire country. Today's incident indicates that the State government has failed to address the malnourishment problem in Nagada.
