In an act of negligence during treatment, a patient who suffering from a cold and fever was allegedly administered a wrong injection by a nurse at Bhandaripokhari Community Health Centre in Bhadrak district on Thursday.

Bhadrak, Apr 4: In an act of negligence during treatment, a patient who was suffering from a cold and fever was allegedly administered a wrong injection by a nurse at Bhandaripokhari Community Health Centre in Bhadrak district on Thursday.

The victim has been identified as Bijay Biswal (56) who is a resident of Dakhinabada village.

As per the reports, Bijay was suffering from severe aches on his legs and hands due to cold and fever. 
Subsequently, he came to the hospital and consulted a doctor for treatment. After checking the patient, the doctor wrote the required prescription. 

The nurse on duty allegedly administered the wrong injection meant for dog bite to the patient.

The nurse has absconded from the hospital with the prescription after the family members complaint in this regard. 

Irked over the matter, relatives and family members of the patient have demanded a probe and a strict action against the concerned nurse.
