Archana Nag Drops Bombshell: BJD Leaders, Top Cops Named In Conspiracy

Key Points
Archana Nag accuses BJD leaders and police of framing her in a political conspiracy.
She alleges attempted poisoning and mental torture during jail custody.
Bhubaneswar, July 12: Archana Nag, who was previously arrested in a high-profile blackmail case, on Saturday made startling allegations against senior leaders of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and top police officials, claiming she was the victim of a politically motivated conspiracy.
Addressing a press conference here, Nag directly named former BJD organizational secretary Pranab Prakash Das alias Bobby Das, MP Manas Mangaraj, and BMC Corporator Amaresh Jena as masterminds behind her arrest. She also accused senior police officers including Prateek Singh (former DCP), Prakash Pal (ACP), and Anup Kanungo (former IIC of Balianta police station) of being complicit in the alleged plot.
Nag claimed that while in jail, there was an attempt to inject poison into her body to silence her permanently. She also alleged that she was mentally tortured, drugged through tea and coffee, and coerced into declaring herself insane. She questioned procedural lapses, asking why she was taken into custody by Balianta police when the FIR was filed at Khandagiri police station.

✨Nag further stated that she was pressured to leave Odisha and that Shraddhanjali Behera, the complainant in her case, was bribed by BJD leaders to file false charges against her. She played an audio recording of Behera’s alleged confession during the press meet.
Responding to the allegations, BJD leader Latika Pradhan challenged Nag to present her evidence in court. The party has yet to issue an official statement on the matter.
The controversy has reignited public debate over political misuse of law enforcement and the need for independent investigations into high-profile cases.
