Boudh, Nov 6: As many nine persons were injured, some of them critically, as an auto-rickshaw and a motorcycle collided head-on at Saleisingh under the Baghiapada police outpost in Boudh district this morning. 

All the injured persons have been admitted to the Boudh Headquarters Hospital. The condition of the two women and the biker is stated to be critical. 

According to the information, eight persons belonging to Saleising village were going by autorickshaw to Jahnapanka Shiva Temple. But as luck would have it, the auto-rickshaw collided head-on with a motorcycle midway. 

The biker has been identified as Babul Khatua of Buragara village under the Tikarpada gram panchayat in the district. 

Police have reached the spot and started an investigation.
