Mayurbhanj, Mar 17: Two miscreants were arrested for looting a school twice by using students in the Baripada area of Mayurbhanj district. 

The miscreants looted away hard cash of Rs 8 lakh and computers and other articles worth over a lakh of rupees from the SVS School, Sirisabandi located under the Baripada Sadar police station limits.  

According to the information, the two worked as welding mechanics for the past few days. During their work, they cunningly took information about the school office from some Class X students and prepared a blueprint for the loot. They looted away hard cash, computers, CCTV hard disk, music system, etc.

On a complaint filed by school authorities, the Sadar police rose to action and managed to nab the two miscreants, identified as SK Abidulla of Ward 16 and Rohit Palei of Ward 21 of Baripada town. The police have seized Rs 60,000, a TV set, and two laptops from them. 

Besides, the police have interrogated some students in connection with the loot.
