Berhampur, May 14: In what brings to the fore political intolerance against the BJP, its Berhampur Lok Sabha candidate Pradeep Panigrahy was attacked by opponents in the presence of police last evening.
Panigrahy received injuries in his neck and chest. He was admitted to the MKCG Medical College and Hospital given his critical condition.
According to the information, Shibashakar Das, a Berhampur Assembly candidate, attacked Panigrahy following heated arguments between them.

✨The incident occurred on the Utkalmani High School premises where Booths 133 and 134 are located. Panigrahy was talking to police in front of the booths when Shivashankar alias Pintu came and attacked him.
Panigrahy was rushed to the MKCG Medical College and Hospital for treatment.
