Bhubaneswar, Dec 21: Vigilance sleuths on Thursday conducted simultaneous searches associated with Prashanta Kumar Gantayat, Chief Civil Supplies Officer, Bhubaneswar, Odisha on charges of amassing property disproportionate to his known sources of income.

The officials of the anti-corruption agency conducted simultaneous searches at eight places including his property in Bhubaneswar and Ganjam district, on the strength of search warrants issued by Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.

As many as 8 DSPs, 5 Inspectors and several other staff of the Vigilance department are carrying out the raids at the following eight places associated with the accused official.

1. One single storeyed building located over plot No. 1485 at Pandara in Bhubaneswar.
2. One triple storeyed building located over plot No. 1484 at Pandara in Bhubaneswar.
3. An apartment located at Bhabanipur village in Berhampur-II of Neelachal Heights.
4. One double storeyed building (VIM-192) located at Chandrasekharpur in Bhubaneswar.
5. An Apartment at Neelachal City Canal Road, Badagada, Laxmi Sagar, Bhubaneswar.
6. Office chamber of Gantayat located in the  Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare Deptt. of Odisha.
7. Gantayat's parental house, located at Co-operative Colony, 1st Lane in Berhampur.
8. Gantayat's residential Govt. quarter No. S-50 located at Municipality colony Unit-III, Bhubaneswar.

Searches were in progress till the report was filed.
