The party workers resorted to the illegal work of money distribution to appease voters in favour of their candidates.
The BJD's money distribution abhiyan (campaign) from Sambalpur to Anandpur has been caught in the Argus News' camera.

In another incident, BJD workers distributed money among some women in the Golabai gram panchayat in Khorda district. The ruling party activists forced the poor women to pledge to vote for the BJD candidates instead of money.
The youths called women to the village temple and gave money to them. Then they asked them to swear by the name of god to cast votes in favour of the Jodi Sankha (Two Conches-one for MP and another for MLA candidate). The husband of a local Sarpanch and the Panchayat Samiti member were opposed by some women while they were distributing money.
