Sambalpur/ Keonjhar/ Khurda, May 24: Even though the campaign trail for the third phase poll ended last evening, the allegations of BJD workers distributing money among voters have poured in from different Parliamentary constituencies in Odisha. 

The party workers resorted to the illegal work of money distribution to appease voters in favour of their candidates.

The BJD's money distribution abhiyan (campaign) from Sambalpur to Anandpur has been caught in the Argus News' camera.

The ruling party seems to have resorted to the illegal work of money distribution in fear of losing the election. Huge quantities of money are being distributed in the Sambalpur area. 

In another incident, BJD workers distributed money among some women in the Golabai gram panchayat in Khorda district. The ruling party activists forced the poor women to pledge to vote for the BJD candidates instead of money.

The youths called women to the village temple and gave money to them. Then they asked them to swear by the name of god to cast votes in favour of the Jodi Sankha (Two Conches-one for MP and another for MLA candidate). The husband of a local Sarpanch and the Panchayat Samiti member were opposed by some women while they were distributing money. 

Tension prevailed in the village. A video of BJD's money distribution has gone viral on social media. 

In Keonjhar district, villagers opposed the money distribution drive resorted to by the BJD in Patana Assembly constituency area. A video of money distribution has gone viral. 

While only a day is left for the third phase of elections to be held in Odisha on May 25, BJD workers have adopted various methods to distribute money among the voters, according to allegations poured in from different parts. 

A video shows that a youth is holding a bunch of cash and another youth a khata(notebook). The two distributed money and listed up names in the middle of the village. However, some conscious citizens opposed the move.
