Bhubaneswar, Apr 22: Geetanjali Sethi, who resigned from the post of President, Zilla Parishad, Kendrapara and the prime membership of the BJD this morning, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) later in the afternoon.
She was welcomed to the party by BJP's Odisha State president Manmohan Samal, Election Pravari Vijaypal Singh Tomar, and Co-Pravari Lata Usendi in the presence of a host of leaders.
In her reaction, Geetanjali said she quit the party in the interest of the people of Kendrapada and joined the BJP after being inspired by the ideals and performances of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
