BJP Invites Naveen Patnaik To New CM's Swearing-In Ceremony Tomorrow

The BJP has invited BJD supremo and former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to the New Chief Minister's swearing-in ceremony scheduled to be held at Janata Maidan in the city tomorrow afternoon.   

Bhubaneswar, June 11: The BJP has invited BJD supremo and former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to the New Chief Minister's swearing-in ceremony scheduled to be held at Janata Maidan in the city tomorrow afternoon.   

BJP state president Manmohan Samal and some other senior leaders of his party went to the Naveen Nivas and invited Naveen Patnaik. 

"We invited Naveen Babu and the BJD to attend the New BJP CM's swearing-in ceremony," Samal told media persons. 
Samal also informed that the former CM has consented to join the event to be graced by the Prime Minister of India, Union Ministers and other dignitaries.

The new CM and new Council of Ministers will take oath at a special programme at Janata Maidan at 4.45 pm tomorrow. 

The BJP grabbed 78 MLAs in the 147-member Odisha Assembly, while the BJD was pushed back to 51 in the recently held Assembly election. Congress had to be contended with 14 seats, while CPM and Independents got one and three, respectively.
