Bhubaneswar, Jan 13: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who is currently on a visit to Odisha, on Saturday asserted that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would form government in Odisha in 2024.
Biswa Sarma, who looks elated after talking to party leaders of Odisha, even said he would come to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the BJP government after the 2024 elections.
"In the year 2019 elections, the BJP had got 38 percent votes, which is 4 percent less than the winning party's vote share. This time(in 2024), the BJP would cross the gap and win the majority of MLA and MP seats," said Biswa Sarma.
The Assam CM claimed that the developmental works and support and assistance given by the Modi government have already erased the winning gap of 4 percent votes.
