Keonjhar, May 19: Defence Minister and BJP heavyweight Rajnath Singh on Sunday exuded confidence that the BJP will form a government in Odisha with absolute majority this time.

"Congress and BJD have ruled Odisha for many years. They have been indulged in corruption and scams. People have decided to change the government and bless the BJP to form a government this time," Singh said while addressing a massive Vijay Shankalp Yatra at Patana in Keonjhar district today.

He exuded confidence that the BJP would get the majority of seats and form a government for the first time in Odisha.

The Union Minister targeted the Naveen Patnaik government over its failures in various sectors.

He lamented saying that the people of Odisha have been deprived of getting the benefit of Aayushman Bharat schemes due to the callous attitude of the Odisha government. He said promises made in the manifesto will be implemented in letter and spirit after the BJP forms the government.

Singh alleged that Naveen and his Gumasta are trying to create a Benal-like situation in Odisha.

"Modi government always keeps its promises. It does what it promises," Singh said.

He said the BJP scrapped Article 370 as promised, built Sri Ram Temple as promised, and nullified Teen Talaak as promised.

He claimed that Bharat is now more powerful than 10 years ago. Bharat can now give a befitting reply to any country in the world.
