Sundargarh, Mar 14: A black panther was seen roaming in the Dhanu Baunsa reserve forest of Garjan Pahada under Sundargarh forest division informed DFO on Thursday.
"We had installed 25 cameras for the All Odisha Tiger Census and in one of the cameras the black panther was captured. We have deployed our squad for its protection and constant vigilance is being done to locate the tiger," said DFO Pradeep Mirase.

✨Earlier in 2023 and 2018 black panthers were spotted in Garjan Pahada.
Odisha is the ninth Indian State to have recorded the presence of black panthers.
