Budget Session Of Odisha Assembly Adjourned Sine Die

Bhubaneswar, Feb 9: Odisha Assembly Speaker Pramila Mallik on Friday adjourned the House sine die for an indefinite period, at least two business days ahead of its schedule.
Government chief whip Prashanta Muduli brought a motion to adjourn the House sine die for the remaining period of the session.
The Budget session of the State Assembly commenced on February 5 and was scheduled to continue till February 13 with seven working days. However, the House was adjourned sine die after five working days.
On Thursday, Finance Minister Bikram Keshari Arukha tabled Rs 1.18 lakh crore vote on account for the first four months of financial year 2024-25 in the Assembly. The Appropriation Bill was passed in the Assembly today.

✨After the House was adjouned sine die, a valedictory photography session was held at the State Assembly with all the legislators.
The session was considered to be the last session of the 16th Legislative Assembly as Odisha will go to Assembly elections in or before May this year along with the Lok Sabha polls.
