Jagatsinghpur, Mar 10: In a shocking incident, a Class X girl died due to drowning in a pond in Tatang village under the Sadar block in Jagatsinghpur district this morning. 

The deceased girl was identified as Sandhyarani Bhoi, the only daughter of Sambunath Bhoi of the Tatang village. 

According to the information, Sandhyarani went to the village pond this morning to clean clothes as required after the death of a relative grandmother. However, she slipped into the deep water and drowned. 

Sandhyarani had appeared in the High School Certificate (HSC) examinations concluded recently. She was the only child of Sambhunath Bhoi. 

Her death has sent a shockwave in the village and among her schoolmates.
