Bhubaneswar, Jun 4: Naveen Patnaik will be called former Chief Minister of Odisha soon as his party BJD is doing dismal results in Assembly polls.
The current trend of poll results shows that the BJD, which was in power for 24 years in a row, is leading in around 50 Assembly constituencies for a House of 147 seats.
In an election meeting in Odisha, Union Minister and BJP Heavyweight Amit Shah claimed that Naveen Babu would be called Ex-CM on June 4, the day of vote counting.
According to the counting trend by 3.30 pm, the BJP was leading in 80 Assembly seats, against the majority requirement of 75 seats. Congress was ahead in 15 seats and others in two.

✨In Lok Sabha polls, the BJD is also trailing in 19 out of total 21 seats.
Naveen Patnaik, who remained the CM five times from 2000 to 2024, will taste the loss of power for the first time.
Since he joined politics in 1998, Naveen has never lost any election, be it Parliamentary or Assembly.
