Boudh, Apr 20: In a tragic accident, Man and his wife died after an ambulance hit their bike on a bridge over river Mahanadi in Boudh district on Saturday.

The deceased were identified as Mitu Behera and his wife Manorama. They were residents of Sadeipur area.

According to the information, the couple along with their two daughters was on their way from Athamallik to Boudh on a bike. They stopped on the bridge to show Mahanandi water to their daughters. Meanwhile, an ambulance, coming from Sambalpur side, hit them from behind. 

While Mitu died on the spot, Manorama was rushed to Boudh Headquarters Hospital in critical condition. However, she passed away while undergoing treatment at the hospital.

On being informed, police reached the spot and started the investigation.
