Darshan In Queue At Puri Shreemandir: Decision On Hold Due To Permit Issue, Says District Collector

Puri, Feb 1: Siddharth Shankar Swain, Puri District Collector and Shreemandir Deputy Chief Administrator, said that the queue darshan at the Jagannath Temple here is on hold due to permit issue.
"The permit for the queue darshan is yet to be received. Thus, the facility is on hold for now," said Swain.
In addition, he said that the transfer of 'Hundi' (Donation Box) is also on hold as the temple administration is yet to receive the permit.
"The ramp is ready, discussions are also going on with various Niyogs," stated Swain, adding: "Queue darshan will be applicable only after approval and processing."
Formation of Shreemandir Management Committee
The Deputy Chief Administrator of Puri Shreemandir has informed that there won't be any decision at the district level for the formation of Shreemandir Management Committee.
"So whatever process is required for the formation of the committee is in under process," said Swain. "Soon after the formation of the management committee, decisions can be taken at the management committee level," the District Collector explained.
