  • Company aims to monitor one lakh machines within a year.

Bengaluru/Bhubaneswar, Feb 23: Industrial IoT platform DATOMS has raised Rs25 crore in a Series A funding round led by Vietnam‑based Big Capital JSC, marking a significant milestone in its journey to transform industrial assets into connected, intelligent systems. The round also saw participation from IvyCap Ventures and a follow‑on investment from YourNest Venture Capital, underscoring growing investor confidence in the company’s enterprise platform, officials said on Tuesday.

Founded in 2021 by NIT Rourkela alumnus Amiya Samantaray along with Asish Sahoo, Nataraj Sahoo, and Amrit Biswal, DATOMS operates at the intersection of Industrial IoT, energy technology, and enterprise SaaS. The company provides a unified intelligence layer that enables enterprises and OEMs to connect machines, monitor performance in real time, predict failures, optimise energy use, and manage service operations across stakeholders.

The platform addresses a critical challenge in industrial operations where machine data remains fragmented across OEMs, enterprises, service partners, dealers, and financiers. By integrating these data streams, DATOMS helps organisations move from reactive to predictive operations, improving visibility into machine performance and lifecycle outcomes.

The new funding will be deployed to strengthen product and technology, expand into new markets, and build teams across engineering, data science, operations, and enterprise sales. DATOMS also plans to enhance its AI and analytics capabilities, improve automation features, and accelerate development of predictive maintenance, performance optimisation, and energy management solutions.

“We believe the next decade belongs to intelligent machines. This funding accelerates our mission to transform industrial assets into connected, self‑aware systems that deliver measurable business outcomes,” said Amiya Samantaray, Founder and CEO. He added that the investment validates DATOMS’ vision of turning connected machines into intelligent economic participants.

Vikram Gupta, Founder and Managing Partner of IvyCap Ventures, said the firm was pleased to support DATOMS as it scales its Industrial IoT and AI‑driven platform. “The team has shown strong execution in building solutions that enhance efficiency, optimise performance, and unlock measurable value,” Gupta noted.

YourNest Venture Capital’s Executive Director Girish Shivani emphasised the importance of harnessing data effectively. “DATOMS is building critical infrastructure at the intersection of data and AI, enabling enterprises to unlock measurable value from complex ecosystems,” he said.

DATOMS’ platform is already deployed across quick commerce dark stores, logistics warehouses, healthcare environments such as MRI and CT scan rooms, and industrial plants in cement, steel, mining, and manufacturing. Over the past year, the company more than doubled revenue, expanded usage among enterprise customers, and now monitors over 25,000 machines. It aims to scale to one lakh machines within a year, with plans to grow internationally and build a leading operational intelligence platform for connected machines.
