Bhubaneswar, Feb 5: The movement of vehicles in the capital city here, Cuttack, and other cities in Odisha was disrupted because of dense fog early on Monday morning.

Meanwhile, the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre issued alerts for dense fog in several districts of Odisha. At the same time, light rain is predicted in some parts of Odisha.

As per reports, excessive moisture in the air is aiding the fog situation in Odisha.

Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department has issued a yellow warning for dense fog over several districts for the next two days.

Dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the coastal areas in Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, and Mayurbhanj.

The Special Relief Commissioner has also warned the District Magistrates of the affected districts as the visibility distance will be reduced alarmingly in those areas. 

From February 6, there will be a slight change in the weather and there may be light rain in north Odisha. 

The Regional Meteorological Center has also informed that light rain is likely to occur over the interior, coastal, south coastal, and south Odisha till February 11.
