Puri, Nov 7: A serious breach of temple protocol was reported at the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri on Friday morning when a devotee was apprehended for secretly filming inside the sanctum using a hidden camera.

The individual, identified as a non-Odia devotee, was apprehended by Jagannath Temple Police (JTP) while attempting to capture images during darshan of Lord Jagannath.

According to temple authorities, photography and videography are strictly prohibited within the temple premises to preserve its sanctity and security.

Temple officials have reiterated the importance of respecting religious guidelines and warned of strict action against future violations.

Investigations are underway to determine the intent behind the filming and whether any footage was shared externally.
