Sambalpur, Sep 13: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday attended the 16th convocation ceremony of Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), Burla here in Odisha where he praised the institution’s growing national and global reputation in technical education.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Pradhan emphasized the importance of quality education and the role of VSSUT in shaping India’s scientific and engineering future.

Empowering Through Education
Pradhan congratulated all students and researchers who received degrees, medals, and honors, and lauded VSSUT’s initiative to publish M.Tech laboratory manuals in Odia and Sambalpuri languages. He called it a commendable step aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision under the National Education Policy, which prioritizes mother tongue in early education.

From Learners to Job Creators
Highlighting the rapid evolution of technical skills in the 21st century, Pradhan urged students to aspire not just to find jobs but to become job creators. He noted that VSSUT has consistently expanded the reach of technical education across Odisha and India, empowering students from humble backgrounds to become symbols of India’s scientific strength.
