Bhubaneswar, Nov 24: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday held a virtual meeting with IBM Global CEO Arvind Krishna, setting the stage for a landmark collaboration to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Quantum Computing into India’s education and research ecosystem. The initiative aims to build a skilled talent pool and strengthen India’s position as a global technology hub, officials said.

According to sources, the discussion focused on advancing technology-driven education, fostering innovation, and ensuring that AI learning is accessible across the country.

Minister Pradhan emphasized the importance of democratizing AI education, extending opportunities from premier institutions like IITs and IISc to colleges in remote regions. “We are committed to taking these technologies to every corner of the country. This will strengthen India’s position as a global tech destination and create opportunities for Indian youth,” he said in a post on X.
