Koraput, June 28: Two more children of Narayanpatna area in Odisha's Koraput district died while undergoing treatment at different hospitals due to suspected Diphtheria, sources said on Friday.

A five-year-old baby of Bikrampur village under Narayanpatna block died at a local hospital while another kid succumbed at MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur.

With this, the number of Diphtheria-related deaths in Koraput district reached six within a month.

Meanwhile, the State government has intensified surveillance and containment measures after cases of Diphtheria were recorded in several districts including Koraput.
