Bhubaneswar, Nov 2: Former MLA and Speaker of Odisha Legislative Assembly, Maheswar Mohanty was rushed to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar after he fell ill on Tuesday.
As per initial reports, Mohanty, who had represented the Puri Assembly Constituency, was diagnosed with a mild brain stroke.
He was under ventilator support in the hospital, but now he is out of ventilator and on ICU support.
He has won five times from Puri Assembly Constituency. Out of that, Mohanty won once on a Janata Dal ticket and four consecutive times on Biju Janata Dal (BJD) ticket.
