Bhubaneswar, Feb 9: Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Krushna Chandra Patra on Sunday said the e-KYC for ration card updation will not be allowed beyond February 15.
He urged all beneficiaries to do the e-KYC by February 15. By now, 37,85,496 card holders have not done e-KYC, the Minister said.
"There will be no extension for e-KYC. February 15 is the last day. All shold do the e-KYC within the next six days," the Minister said. He warned that the ration card members who will not do e-KYC will be taken as surrendered after February 15.
He clarified that ration cards without e-KYC will be rejected. He said the government would take stern action against ineligible ration cardholders.

✨As many as 8 lakh people, who are paying income tax, are found to be enrolled as ration card holders. They took ration cards to get health cards. The government has got the report. The officials have been asked to conduct an inquiry.
He further informed that six lakh new beneficiaries have applied for the ration card. New people, if found eligible, will be added to the ration card, he said.
The minister said that action will be taken if a written complaint is lodged against ineligible beneficiaries. So far, 12, 000 ineligible persons, who are in government jobs or paying income tax, have returned their ration cards.
