Subarnapur, Nov 15: A group of people were spotted gambling openly in the Jatra for the Girigobardhan Puja at Analachat village in Chadheipanka Gram Panchayat under Chadheipanka Gram Panchayat in Subarnapur district.
It is alleged that the police have maintained silence over the issue, in exchange of some money.
Gambling in the spiritual Girigobardhan Jatra has been condemned by many. That police's silence over this has alarmed the common people who have come with their family to enjoy the Jatra.
