Mayurbhanj, Feb 22: A girl was found hanging from the branch of a tree in Mituani village in Keshdiha Gram Panchayat under Mahuldiha police station limits in Mayurbhanj district on Thursday. 

The girl has been identified as Gurubari, the daughter of Damodar Ho of Mituani village. She worked as a daily wage labourer. 

According to the information, she had returned from her work around 3 pm on Wednesday and later in the evening went to the weekly market to get some rice grains. Later in the night she went to the marriage of their neighbour's son but did not return home.

After searching a lot, her family member's found her body hanging from a tree at the back of their house. 

On being informed Police reached the spot and started an investigation after rescuing the body.
