The deceased has been identified as Nitu Nauri of Block Colony, Bissamkatak.
The matter came to the fore after the accused yout surrendered to Gunpur police in the district.

✨According to the information, the youth called the girl over the phone and took her to a jungle near Kiribiri Chhak under the Bissamkatak PS area. There, he reportedly killed her and dumped her body.
Later, the youth surrendered to the Gunpur police and conceded that he killed the girl because his love for her was spurned.
Police have recovered the body. Further details are awaited.
