Bhubaneswar, Apr 6: The heatwave conditions are likely to continue in Odisha for next three days, informed the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday.

The IMD issued a yellow warning of heat wave conditions in several districts of the State for the next three days.

"Heat wave conditions are very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Angul, Nayagarh, Balangir, Malkangiri, Bhadrak, Gajapati and Boudh during the next 24 hours," the IMD's latest bulletin said.

The IMD also issued an orange warning of hailstorm at isolated places over the districts of Angul, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Jajpur and Cuttack on Sunday.

It also forecast light to moderate rain likely to occur at isolated places in some districts till April 12, the IMD said.

The weathermen advised people to take precautionary measures for hot weather while going outside during day time between 11 am to 3 pm.

There will be no large change in maximum temperature (Day Temperature) during the next 24 hours and fall by 2-4°C in subsequent two days and no large change thereafter at many places in the State.

Yesterday, Bhubaneswar recorded the highest temperature of the day in the State with 43.5 degree Celsius. Similarly, Sambalpur recorded 40.8 degrees while the coastal town of Chandbali in the Bhadrak district and Hirakud in western Odisha witnessed 40.6 degree Celsius, the IMD added.
